Summer is finally here. Did you lose weight like you said you would?
Summer is finally here. Did you lose weight like you said you would? I’m sure everyone has made that same promise of losing those pesky pounds in January that they gained over the holidays.
Did you know the average weight gain over the holidays in only about one pound. Why do I feel like I gained ten? The real reason is: I didn’t lose the weight from last years’ gain. My pants are still a little snug.
Well, I’ve been reading quite a bit about time-calorie displacement. I like the concept of eating more to feed the hunger instead of starving myself.
Think about this, if you like vegetables, then why not fill yourself with as much substance that will satisfy you. It doesn’t matter if it’s lettuce, cauliflower, carrots, spinach or broccoli. One half cup of each is about the same size as a cupcake or small muffin. However, the sweets are about 8-10 times the calories than the veggies. So if you eat until you’re full, you’ll have consumed a small portion of the calories you would have with usual trash food.
I know it sounds simple. Every diet and health plan tells you to eat more vegetables. But, if you want to lose a couple or maybe even ten pounds, eat a sensible breakfast and try it for two weeks for lunch and dinner. I know it’s not a big juicy steak or tasty cheeseburger. But it’s also not for the long term and it’ll be a sure way to lose those last few pounds you’ve been dragging around.
